As a Support Worker, you will provide compassionate, person-centred support tailored to each individual's unique needs, preferences, and aspirations. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will help individuals build confidence, maintain independence, and participate fully in everyday life.

You will promote choice, dignity, respect, and inclusion while ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred support.
  • Promote independence and encourage individuals to develop daily living skills.
  • Support with personal care where required.
  • Assist with meal planning, preparation, and nutrition.
  • Support individuals with medication in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Encourage participation in social, educational, leisure, and community activities.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with individuals and their families.
  • Maintain accurate care records and daily documentation.
  • Promote dignity, privacy, equality, and respect at all times.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns appropriately.
  • Support individuals to achieve personal goals identified within their support plans.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for caring and committed individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact.

You should be:

  • Experience working with young people, care leavers, or vulnerable adults (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • Good written and IT skills for recording information
  • Flexible approach to shift work, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred).
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable Qualifications

You should be:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent.
  • Training in safeguarding, first aid, mental health awareness, trauma-informed practice, or behaviour management.
