The Supported Accommodation Service Manager will oversee the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring young people receive high-quality, person-centred support in line with Ofsted Supported Accommodation Regulations and Quality Standards. Working alongside the Responsible Individual, you will lead the staff team, maintain compliance and safeguarding, and help young people achieve positive outcomes
• Lead, motivate and support the staff team.
• Supervise, coach and mentor Support Workers.
• Support recruitment, induction and staff development.
• Prepare staff rotas and maintain safe staffing levels.
• Promote a positive and professional culture.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted Supported Accommodation Regulations and Quality Standards.
• Complete audits, observations and file reviews.
• Maintain accurate records and inspection readiness.
• Drive continuous service improvement.
• Promote a strong safeguarding culture.
• Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns.
• Review risk assessments and support plans.
• Work effectively with Local Authorities and partner agencies
• Deliver person-centred support planning.
• Promote independence, education, employment and wellbeing.
• Support successful transitions into adulthood.
• Develop positive relationships with professionals and commissioners.
• Represent Comfort Residence Ltd professionally
• Oversee referrals, admissions and placement planning.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming and compliant environment.
• Monitor incidents, complaints and quality assurance.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience working in residential childcare or supported accommodation in a leadership role (e.g. Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader, Shift Leader or Deputy Manager).
• Experience supervising, mentoring or leading staff.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding.
• Knowledge of Ofsted Supported Accommodation Regulations and Quality Standards, or willingness to develop this knowledge.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Good IT and report-writing skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Enhanced DBS check.
Previous experience as a Service Manager is not essential. We welcome experienced residential childcare professionals who are ready to take the next step in their career.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
• Experience supporting care leavers or young people with complex needs.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice.
• First Aid and safeguarding training.
